“Dear friends, since God so loved us, we ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us." 1 John 4:11-12
As we go through the Christmas season, it’s easy to get lost in the commercialism of it all and forget what is at the core of Christmas. Sometimes we focus so much on the presents and social norms that we forget about the most important part, love. We get so lost in making sure that we check off everything on our Christmas “to-do” list that we don’t spend time thinking about how to love people. Loving someone doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to go buy an extravagant gift or make some incredible present. Loving someone can be as simple as saying “Hello” or going out of your way to help someone, no matter how small. Maybe it’s just what that person needed at that moment in their life. Maybe they just needed someone to say (whether through actions or words), “Hey, I love you.” So I want to encourage you to show love to someone, no matter how small it may be!
